Search engine optimization

With today’s technology, it’s easier than ever to create a pretty website. But just because your website is online doesn’t mean it’s working well.

To really succeed, you need to make sure that the website is optimized for both users and search engines.

Search engine optimization (SEO) refers to measures to increase the visibility of a website for users of web search engines. Optimization refers to improving unpaid results in organic search engine rankings (organic rankings).

Search engine optimization is part of search engine marketing.

Users search online: SEO is important because almost everyone uses search engines. According to a study, 25.2 million German speakers in Germany will use the Internet to search for information every day in 2021, and another 21.3 million will do so several times a week.

A total of 50 million people in Germany (out of about 80 million) use a search engine at least once a week.

If your site is not discoverable among the top rankings on Google, you are consequently missing out on an enormous number of potential customers who are already actively searching for your product or service.

Because it works in the long term and sustainably, because…

Nearly 70% of online experiences start with a search engine.

Only 0.78% of users click on the second Google results page.

More than 50% of website traffic is generated via organic search.

Potential customers find you – SEO leads have a close rate of almost 15%.

To understand how SEO works, it is helpful to first understand how Google works.

The Googlebot, a program developed by Google engineers, “eats” Internet pages and follows every link it finds that it is allowed to follow (Googlebot = “crawler”). In doing so, it adds these pages to Google’s “index”, creating a huge database of stored URLs.
If you enter your search query into Google and press Enter, Google calculates live search result lists and tries to match the user’s search intent (search intention) as closely as possible. Google shows the best individual results.

To determine which pages rank for a term and in which place, Google uses a very complex algorithm that includes over 200 factors.

The most important factors are roughly divided into the following areas: Onpage/Onsite and Offpage.

Why SEO and web design are inseparable
The relationship between SEO and web design can be summed up in one sentence: SEO measures enable visitors to find your website on their own via Google search, and good web design ensures that visitors stay there. The circle closes, because good web design has a positive effect on SEO.

A poor or outdated design can easily cause visitors to lose trust in your website and prefer another website that is more compelling for the information they are looking for.

Nevertheless, they are entirely different expertises. Have a website created by a designer, so it may look good. The SEO optimization of an already created page, represents approximately the same amount of time. We create your site directly optimized for search engines, which saves about 30% of the effort and thus the cost.

This question can be equated with the question “How much does a car cost?”. It depends….

SEO is not cheap but absolutely cost-effective, as long as you have a good partner on your side.

Many SEO experts struggle on the one hand with the fact that customers want to see a direct result and concrete numbers as KPIs are in the contracts, of course until a fixed date.

If you get such a promise (exceptional cases are rare but possible) reject it! Why?

We SEO experts work every day with and against an artificial intelligence that even the people who created it no longer understand. We do not work with monetary means in organic search. There is no manual for our success. Trial and error – that’s what we do, to the best of our knowledge. Based on strategies, experience and exchange. Our strategies are as individual as the Google search engine results pages (SERPs).

A fixed promise for defined rankings at time X is therefore gambling or safely achievable through the use of paid ads (target will be reached on day X) or “Blackhat-SEO” (Blackhat-SEO means deliberately violating Google’s guidelines in order to achieve better rankings, which on the one hand is only effective in the short term and on the other hand can result in complete exclusion from the SERPs).

To ensure insight, here’s how we roughly proceed:

  • Website analysis / status quo
  • Implementation initial optimization
  • Keyword research
  • Competitive analysis
  • Keyword analysis
  • Keyword definition
  • Elaboration website structure plan / concept
  • OnPage/OnSite optimizations
  • If necessary, conception of content expansion / strategy
  • Content production, if applicable

Let’s get back to the car question – what is your expectation, your destination, and how quickly do you want to get there? Based on this, we will be happy to prepare an individual offer.
